As an Anglican priest he has served churches and missions in Annapolis, MD, several Northern Virginia communities, and was vicar of Christ the King Anglican Church in Georgetown, Washington, DC. He was made Canon Theologian for the Anglican Province of Christ the King by Archbishop Frederick Morse.
Since retiring to Phoenix he has been Assistant Priest at Christ Anglican Church (Cave Creek) and acted as supply priest for Church of the Atonement (Fountain Hills) and St. Alban's. He has continued his role as an educator with Bible study classes, and by teaching classes with web connections for St Joseph of Aramathia Seminary (Anglican Province of Christ the King, Berkeley, CA).
Canon David Rodier was appointed Priest in Charge of St Alban's in 2014 when St. Alban's became part of the Anglican Province of Christ the King.
Canon Rodier's career was that of an educator as well as a priest. He earned a PhD in Philosophy from Vanderbilt University (1965). In 2006 he retired from The American University (Washington, DC). He was awarded the title of Associate Professor Emeritus. During his 41 years as an educator he taught Philosophy, Religion, Comparative Religions, History of Religion, Logic and Ethics. Besides his work in the classroom, he supervised students working toward Masters and PhD degrees, taught Ethics in the School of Business, taught classes at Catholic University (Washington, DC) and Old Dominion University (Hampton, VA) and served as chairman of the Department of Philosophy and Religion at The American University.
